Really great food and atmosphere. Servers are really on top of it and we never had an empty glass of beer or water. Fish and chips were really good and I would definitely order them again!

We found this to be an awesome place! Food was good, the service was excellent and yet, it was still low-key. Great location, too! Molly, the bartender, was especially great!

The scene if you want to watch all the games (and I mean, all the games at the same time) and get a stiff drink to match. I go basic when I'm at an Irish Pub and this one is an authentic one at that: welcoming bartender, relaxed vibes and heavy pour. My Tanqueray and Tonic ($11!!) was not measured, thank God! while I love my craft cocktails, sometimes when you're wrapping up your night, you just want something stiff before heading back to the hotel. (ahem, TWSS) The bros who frequent this space are all LOUD (hey, I'm over 40!) but they don't bother anyone. I mean, I would yell at the TV too if stupid named X player didn't score. Aren't they paying him millions!?! get it together. Come for the vibes and leave happy coz you didn't burn a hole in your wallet. See?! NYC is afforadble!

I've been here several times. Friendly spot with good food. Also always have sports playing if you're looking for that. Nice atmosphere and staff.

I live in New York City, and this the best bar ever! If you actually want to go to an authentic Irish pub, this is where you need to go! The bartenders are fantastic! Nothing fancy here, just good cold beer, and good cocktails, and good music!

Great Reuben here. Trinity our server was an absolute delight and took care of us the whole time with a smile. We watched the NBA finals game here. Sat at a table and watched it ahead of us. A little far but oh well on short notice! Reuben kinda falls apart but the meat is great. The fries are insane to me. They were so tasty I ate them so fast. More!!!! Saw a celebrity here so that was cool!

Whether you call it soccer or football, McHale's is arguably the best place in NYC to watch it. I've been making the occasional journey since last summer when I found out a favorite team of mine had a supporters club based here. There's a wide range of good options to choose from as far as food and drinks are concerned, and the staff are all great people. Definitely a place worth visiting, especially for soccer fans.

McHale's is my go to place when I travel to NYC on business. I've always found the staff to be friendly and gracious and the food good, great beverages and a nice variety of options. I was in town with my wife on vacation and suggested McHale's for a date night as we wanted something informal and simple. We had a great time. Our waitress, Sadie, was amazing. She was friendly, attentive and helpful. Also a call out to Alberto for his great sense of humor and warmth. My wife had a quesadilla which was fine. I had the Shepherd's Pie which was really tasty and gave a taste of it to my wife and she loved it so much she nearly ordered another one for herself...but she was full so it will have to wait for our next visit. We'll be back next time in NYC!

We came here after a show and just had drinks. The interior has that wood the is reminiscent of an Irish Pub. The lighting is a bit bright for my taste as I like it a bit darker. I did like that the tables are not tight together and there is plenty of room to stand and not feel tightly squeezed. We ordered all of our drinks at the bar and it was no problem on a weeknight. The bartender was fast and friendly. There are lots of TVs, but not too many. The restrooms are clean and there is a dart board as well. This is a chill place and our group of 6 people had a great time here.

We were in NYC for the week and noticed there was a USMNT game playing. After searching for a place to watch soccer nearby, we landed at McHales. Drinks were poured well, and the server was perfectly attentive. We ordered mozzarella sticks and french fries which were freshly fried and paired well with the Irish whisky :-D
